The dates for the RAF Champs this year have changed. The new dates are Wednesday 25th to 27th November 2009. This change of dates is down to Dundee Ice Arena and NOT the RAF IHA.

Accommodation has been secured at RAF Leuchars so no Barry Buddon this year. The Officers Mess is available for those who require it and are eligible.

1.Teams are to arrive on the evening of Tue 24th Nov. The Coach/Manager's meeting will be at 2000hrs.

2.Day 1 (Wed 25th Nov) will be a league format. 0800-1630hrs.

3.Wed 25th @ 1930hrs - RAF IHA AGM at RAF Leuchars.

4.2nd Day (Thu 26th Nov) will be Play Off day.

5.Thu 26th Nov 1830-2359hrs - Top Table Meal at RAF Leuchars. We can book a karaoke if req'd. The meal will cost £15-20 per head and a Late Bar can be applied for. There is also the possibility of a guest speaker, hopefully somebody from the ex-pro ice hockey circuit.

6.3rd Day (Fri 27th Nov). RAF Aces v Army Blades, 1000-1330hrs. All personnel are free to travel after the final whistle of this game, but for those wishing to stay, accommodation will still be available.

According to the Admin order for the tourni we are allowed up to four civvies, one of which being a goalie, so will be coaches descretion who he picks to play. I am sure this will come down to availablity more than anything else.

I will be available either to play or to help with scoring/music/timkeeping or whatever is needed over the two days. I will be at the event on the Thursday evening, as long as i do not have to call anyone Sir.

The competition is running all day on the Wednesday, exact fixtures to be drawn on the Tuesday evening, as it now looks like there will be a 9 team league.

Exact details of the costings will be released as soon the question, who is going to this gets answered by all clubs, as yet we still have unconfirmed attendance.

Anybody however from the Service side of the Leuchars Knights willing to help in the organisation would be most appreciated, anyone, anyone, hello?

er thought not.
