Anyone can order a shirt from rhino individually if prefered as they have our design. Should work out easier and cheaper overall if someone gathers names and numbers etc.

Ah we seemed to have deviated from the sublect matter a little. Just canvasing opinion in regard to the club strips. How many people would be interested in a totally new concept in shirt design? either to replace the existing one or as a second strip. While numbers are low and new faces are coming into the team it would appear to be an ideal opportrunity to update with minimum impact on the club.
How about a completely bold design, something completely different to the other Service clubs, for example bright yellow shirt and socks? or orange and black? (speedy you likey). just a thought folks

As we recieved new two year shirt sponsorship only one year ago we couldnt do away with the old strip altogether at this time but could certainly have a second strip, which, if more popular could easily take over as first choice in the future. Idealy want to keep our sponsors happy as they gave us money but said we could use the money as we saw fit, due to our current strip meeting their approval and not needing replacing at that time.

Is it only a year?. It seems much longer because Eamon and Paul were both still here when we first got them hence we all got them a little too small(Kit Bag srinkage for Splodge). I would defo be up for a strip change. The baby blue romper suits could do with a replacement. Bold sounds good Andy, after all we want to stand out from the other teams!.

you are thinking of the first order mate, that was three years ago now and we renewed sponsorship with avco last year. they gave us the same amount of cash and said we didnt need to buy a new strip as they were happy with the old one. We bought ten new shirts to replace lost/damaged shirts and I picked them up from rhino at the tri services last year.
I agree a new shirt would be great but would have to be a second strip til our sponsorship runs out in april next year.

havnt heard it called that before.
To be honest none of us liked the new strip at all to start with but it grew on us quite quickly, but yes its probably time for a brand new strip.

All,
Had quite a bit of positive feedback regarding a New Shirt Concept (well 5 people and that is practically 90% of the club)
Ideas are pointing towards a Yellow/Black combinations, and strongly retaining the knights imagary, Jen Rodwell has kindly offered to design a catchy new logo for the front. While the overall design will reflect something heraldic. For example Black and Yellow Rugby style Quarters (Like a Shield) or thick chevrons on the body then two yellow sleaves with black numbering. (I told you it'd be bold)
Folks please don't b eshy on this one, its a Club Shirt, Our Strip, if you 've got an idea, or an opinion get POSTING ON THIS THREAD!

We should work with Sewy on the design of any new strip and badge after all the work she has done for the club over the last few years. She manages to turn round orders in no time and at very low cost, what a taem player without her beloved Jock on the ice for us.

the two year sponsorship deal was with raf careers, about 11 months left to run on it.
I also would like sewys input as she hasnt steered us wrong in the past.

As long as the sponsors are happy then there is no problem. Just want to keep in their good books as they have pumped 5 grand into the coffers over the last three years so want to keep them sweet. I think its in the clubs best interest.

For those of you who were at training last Sunday, you will have laid your eyes on a couple of preliminary rough ideas for our new second shirt.
It would be a triumph if we could sort it all before this years tri-service event, to that end please do not be shy with your ideas or thoughts on designs
