I am currently speaking to Jamie Thomson from the Solway Sharks about maybe getting a training camp set up in Solway for a week. Unfortunately, it will not be until next year, as it is to late to organise at the moment.
It came after seeing a post on one of the hockey forums regarding a juniors training camp, and asked if there was anything in place for an adults one. The result was that they were looking at the possibility of it, but were unclear whether or not there would be enough interest for this to be viable to go ahead with.
I said that I would through about the possibility up here in the North.
An example of this growth will be this years Hockey Training Camp. Historically hockey camps only provide around 30hours of ice time over 5 days, however this year we have managed to secure almost 50 hours over 6 days. Monday to Friday and will be packed with intensive on-ice sessions, which will be complimented by off-ice and classroom work. Off-ice work will include:
Strength work
Speed work
General fitness
Flexibility
Nutrition
Mental preparation
Above is just an example taken from this years camp, but I am assuming that it will be roughly the same with some changes where needed.

Thanks Zappa, but not for me. I regard getting out of bed on a Monday the only challange I need for flexability and motivation. Seriously though I cannot afford the time of work for this chance as it would eat into my foreign travels to much!!!
