TrainingI have been asked to pass on that the after match skate after the Stars games has binned so this will mean that training will be back on about 10:15 approx.Also that no-one cancelled the ice for last weeks training the rink were expecting us on sunday past. |

Well that's one we'll take up with the Rink Manager, I know that the Hockey For All took our slot, it was well known we had closed down for the Christmas break.
Great news regarding the training time though! lets hope theirs no delays! |

All,
For whatever reasons, attendance at last nights practice was greatly reduced. As you will al be aware this has a significant impact on the clubs ability to cover the cost of the ice. I would be grateful if all players could note there intention or unavailability to attend along this thread by NLT Wed of each week. This gives the club the option to cancel the session without financial penalty. Cheers ps, I wont be attending, you can, however, catch my handsome grid this Sunday on Sky Sports 1 1100 am, were I, no doubt, will be seen being invited into the back of a Glamorgan Constabulary police van, after various public order misdemeaners involving my Celtic caravan dwelling and bin diving bretheren from along the M4. |

Gents,
Due to the extemely poor attendance for Training on Sunday 24th May, it was neccessary to cancel the session to save the club incuring the £175 ice fee. I understand that the majority of players had opted to miss practice due to other commitments, and particularly as the following day was a holiday for some. Notwithstanding the fiancial difficulties that the club would have been in had training gone ahead, it is dissapointing that with the progress made with th eclub over the last 6 months, due to the game experience we have ammassed, that a golden oportunity to train and improve on a few points has been lost. In review, I would be grateful if all players would extend the coutesy of posting here, or notifying myself via pm or text of their intention to train at future sessions. If by the preceeding Thursday of each week insufficient numbers are met, then training will be suspended for that Sunday. This action, I feel is the fairest for all concerned as it negates those who do turn up and plan to train, the decision not to have a cold beer on a sunny Sunday afternoon, while listening to the other half moan at why your going training, then to endure the rest of the evening of smugness because you did and it was cancelled, forcing the question 'why do you bother?' any way, hopefully none of us will be placed in this position again. Game Saturday, see you there, full bench, no doubt. |

I have the pucks, but, to prevent the problem we face last week, I would suggest that everybody gets in the habit of carrying 2 pucks each in their kit back.
Extra weight will help burn a few calories too! Splodge, no goalie kit brought, it's too heavy and cumbersum to lug around for a 'maybe' if Jay is keen, come and see me in the week and we'll kit him out. Cheers. |

Once again, numbers at training were extremely disapointing, more than that the club is no financial position to sustain itself if greater commitment is not shown.
Training time over the summer months are at the much more convenient time of 2030. If numbers continue in this trend then it will become increasingly difficult to continue during the winter months when training reverts to 2315. We have 3 games lined up during August, which have been advertised for several weeks, the lack of commitment from team members will likely result in the cancellation of these fixtures. A decent turn out last night ensured that both th eice time was just covered and the practice was supported enough to have value, however still several missing faces is not giving the club a warm fuzzy feeling. For those members who were unable to train or are unable to consistantly, please take the time to think how that impacts the rest of your team come game nights. Where you will expect to share EQUAL ice time with those who have trained regularly, worked together and built cohesion. Training is as important element to club improvement as regular games, social amd off ice activities are. In the coming weeks our training time will revert to its usual slot of 2315 on Sunday night, it's hard for us all, but if you feel that 2030 is an inappropriate time then please give due regard to your commitment to the club. |

To ease the burden of a few individuals of carrying Pucks, Shirts, Water Bottles, Coaching Boards, Pens and other sundrie items. The management at DIA have arranged a storage locker for our use at the annual charge of £50 As you will be aware the club are no position to finance the requirement out right. How would EVERYBODY feel about contributing £3 each toward the locker space? |

What if we put the prices up to £15 a session?? I know it is a bit steep but it will help with the financial funds of the team and will keep it going. |

Its a valid point, and a commedable one, while the price hike won't affect the numbers coming training, and why should it when folk arent coming any way, it will however prevent the club going bust. which is arguably the most important factor to those who can and do turn up for training. |

I would rather pay £15 a session and be able to say I'm registered to a club, than be jumping and changing and not be registered.
I'm with Sewy, team meeting needs to be brought in for this. |
